About me - Karen Loss

About me

Karen Loss has been writing all of her life, completing her first "book" at age seven, while sitting in her private office behind the 3-piece sectional in her living room. It was, naturally, about one of her favorite subjects - animals. She followed those early efforts by serving on the editorial staff of her college newspaper, and later writing and editing publications for a variety of corporate and trade organizations. She continued to pursue freelance opportunities and has written articles for the Northern Virginia Business Journal, Elan magazine, the Winchester Star, the Antelope Valley Press, and Instructor. In her spare time, Karen enjoys golf, performing musically, reading, cooking, and bringing animals to life through oil painting. She lives in Northern Virginia with her dog, Bella.
