About me - Rev. R. D. Brown

About me

WOW! If you're reading this you must have read one of my articles. You must have really liked it or really hated it to be interested in who wrote it. Either way I'll tell you a bit about me since you took the time to come here and read.

I am a resident of western Arkansas and have been my whole life.
I grew up in church but didn't live for God until I was past thirty and had made a huge mess of my life by living with out Him.
I am married with four children, two boys and two girls ranging from four to twenty years old.
I am an ordained minister. I have not yet been a church pastor but I've preached a few times and done some weddings.
I live on a small farm with a variety of livestock. At night I can see a total of five lights, all either radio towers or street lights. All but one of those lights is several miles away.
My wife, whom I adore, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2005. What that means for her life, my life, and for our life together is something that we are still learning day by day.

If you want to know more about me, or if you want to know more about God and the gift Jesus bought for you then feel free to message me.

God bless you,

RDB

The night was bitter cold as I wandered outside for my 3 am break. In the glow of the street lights I noticed him lying against a parked car seeking shelter from the brisk winter breeze. He was curled up tightly and looked small, frail, and thin. I went back to the vending machines and got a tuna sandwich and some beef jerky and took it too him. He ate both gratefully then looked at me with sad, soulful eyes as if to ask if that was all I had. I gave him a pat and turned to go in, and then he stood up.

I had never seen such a tall dog before. The small creature before me unfolded from arou...
