About me

I grew up in a small town in Louisiana and began writing when I was young. I started college when I was in my mid-twenties. I earned degrees in English and Journalism at Louisiana State University. I lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 8 years before moving to Tucson, Arizona.
I'm married with one daughter.
I read everything from Time magazine to People magazine. I would love to combine my creative writing and journalism to write features about people and events. I enjoy writing about the media and how it affects us as viewers. I also write creative nonfiction, short stories and features and profiles.

serial killers (I wanted to be a crime writer at one time).

to get a real job and don't expect to make money writing.

was to be a singer and writer.

is when my husband first said he loved me.

Why I write ...

because I don't know how to do much else and it gives me a cathartic feeling.
