South African-born Ingrid Brunkhorst Hurrell now lives in British Columbia, Canada with her family. She is registered with the BC Council of Social Workers and a member of the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW)
She has spent several years in training, volunteering and on staff with Youth with a Mission in South Africa, the USA, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Australia.
She has also worked extensively as editor and freelance writer and ran her own community newspaper in Cape Town, South Africa under a private practice as Social Worker.
Ingrid also actively volunteers in her local community.
She enjoys travelling, Thai food, cats, alone-times, mountains, forests and the ocean.

COWBOYS DO CRY Society is often hung-over on the old clich that "cowboys don't cry." Men have been compartmentalized over the ages as seemingly non-feeling, obnoxious and thick-skinned beings who are like the proverbial bulls in a china shop when it comes to being around people who are sensitive.
