: About Me

I am a 51 year old man and I've had various jobs in my lifetime. Presently I work for a mortgage bank as a loan
consultant and also give a defensive driving class on the weekends. I have a fledgling greeting card company that
I am trying to get off the ground.

I live in Long Island, NY, which is a suburb of NYC
where I grew up. I am the proud father of two wonderful
kids ages 15 and 18.

I was so happy to discover Helium and I look forward
to using this as an outlet for my literary pursuits. I've
been writing on some level for close to forty years. Poetry,
songs, sports, as well as current events and issues are my favorite topics.
I am of Puerto Rican decent and have been blessed
with the ability to write with a high degree of passion in
both English and Spanish and look forward to sharing this
passion with all of you. The ink in your pen should flow straight from your heart. Use that to occasionally give
someone a peek at your soul.

One last thought.... If you see a problem around you that you could easily solve and choose not to, you are part of the problem!

Sometimes a drop of compassion can fill a heart!

My Dreams Needed a Rest Spent a LIFETIME chasing my dreams It had been an uphill climb Then One day something happened kinda strange As I was coming to the crest I GREW VERY tired I guess my DREAMS needed a rest No doubt from all that chasing anyone can get quite TIRED My spinning wheels just kept on spinning is it quicksand that has me mired?
