I am the mother of a 20 year old son and a 17 year old daughter. I was born and raised in the shadow of the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse although I haven't worked in 15 years but I do stay up to date in case I need it in the future. I am also a Certified Medical Transcriptionist. Over the years I have held a variety of jobs from working in movie rentals, maintenance on a golf course, day care, waitress, residential and commercial cleaning, and of course nursing.
I come from a large close-knit family, which still gets together at my mom's after church on Sundays for dinner. I was raised on a farm so I have a love for animals and nature. I very much enjoy spending time outdoors and with my kids and writing. Writing has become much more than a hobby to me, it is a way to express myself and a way to clear my mind.

As I gave you the key to my heart
I remember getting butterflies
Every time I saw your name
All the talks we had
How completely I loved and trusted you
I remember the day you first said "I love you"
I finally felt complete
The piece of me that had always been missing
Was finally found and in place
I remember trying to find the words
To express how I felt for you
And trying to explain
A connection that was indescribable
I remember wanting to beg you
