My husband and I married late in life and had our first child, a daughter, when I was 38 years old. Our second child, a son, was born when I was 42 years. Both children are bright, healthy and beautiful individuals. Three years ago, when I turned 52, I was diagnosed with a disease entitled degenerative spinal stenosis and rheumatoid arthritis in my lower back. After three years of therapy, yoga classes, swimming and walking daily, I finally gave in and had a bi-lateral laminectomy with the hopes of getting better.
