With a BA (Hons) and MLitt already under my belt, I am currently undertaking a PhD at The University of Glasgow and am very passionate about my subjects. My undergraduate degree in Media: Theory and Production allowed me to cover many aspects of the media including journalism, cinema, television, radio and theatre from both practical and theoretical perspectives. My Master of Literature degree allowed me to take the theoretical aspects learned at undergraduate level and apply them to both written and visual media by analysing a range of visual cinema and academic critical writings on cinema. Both degrees also included dissertation pieces: at the commence of the BA (Hons) I produced a 10,000 word piece looking at the deeper social and psychological aspects of 1940s melodrama and for the MLitt I undertook the task of presenting Gene Kelly as not just a talented on-screen performer, but also as a fine auteur of cinema, in a 15,000 word thesis. During the postgraduate degree I ran a screening class, a seminar on star studies, hosted a lecture on star-as-body and took part in three postgraduate symposiums. During my undergraduate degree I had 20 articles published in various society newsletters and magazines including The Sinatra Music Society, The International Crosby Circle, Movie Memories and The John Wayne Film Society. I also undertook a placement at CML (Community Media Limited) in Glasgow where I worked as a reporter for several local newspapers. I am presently undertaking doctoral research from my PhD, working on several short stories and completing my first collection of poetry. I have been a lyricist since the age of 11 and am presently a member of the International Songwriters Association. I have penned in the region of 500 songs in this time. I am also working on a collection of pencil sketches and canvas paintings of classic Hollywood stars, completed works include Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Doris Day and Tyrone Power.
I am a qualified personal tutor in 15 subject areas and am currently teaching Journalism, English Language,English Literature and Film Studies on-line via Alpha Tutors, UK Tutors, Fleet Tutors and School of Everything. I am rated a 10/10 tutor.

Johnny Depp's filmography is almost as impressive as his acting ability. From his debut in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' as Glen (the kid who gets eaten by the bed) to his most recent performance in 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street', Johnny Depp never fails to throw himself completely into his roles and fully grab the viewers attention.
In my opinion Johnny Depp is arguably the only modern day actor who can stand beside the greats of yester-year. With a cinematic history which includes the likes of Cary Grant, James Stewart, Marlon Brando and Humphrey Bogart this is indeed a c...
