There's a militant, rebel part of me that wants to cry out against DRM as an Orwellian invasion of my privacy. This part of me says that my computer is my computer, and if I download a file to my computer then I should be able to do with that file whatever I please - the same as I can do whatever I please with the hardware itself, including sell it to someone else or even take a sledgehammer to it (which I sometimes feel compelled to do, especially when trying to open a .pdf using Adobe Reader).
