I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for the last ten years and throughout my time here there is nothing I anticipate more than Summer. I consider the beginning of Summer starting June 1st and with this beginning comes the opening of salmon season at Point Defiance. Point Defiance is located in the Southern Puget Sound and is a major freeway for salmon returning to spawn. I feel it is a productive fishery if you know how to approach it.
