Skidegate Sterritt combines British heritage with Haida roots and recognizes Haida descendants. I was born in 1943, at Kitanmaax on the Skeena River in British Columbia, Canada, to the daughter of the Hudson's Bay Company Manager, and a Kitksan Hereditary Chief of the Tsimpsian Empire. I received education in the first school to mix Indian and White students after the Indian Act was amended to allow the aboriginal Institution of Governance and Social interaction, Potlatch, to reconvene after being illegal for 70 years. So it happened that as I matured choices were put in front of me that have decided my life and set me apart. I made a synthesis of all the variables of my life and decided to live as an Indian, to be an Ecologist, and to struggle for supremacy of Haida Title to the Land.

Over the course of my life I remained cautious about the positions I would take on abstract issues like Politics and Religion, until 1980 when Canada took steps to patriate a national Constitution, and then I decided I would have to ascertain for myself what the truth of life really is, and that quest has guided me for the last 25 years. I reached the point in my research last year, where I am confident in starting a new Religion based on the Ancient Institution of Potlatch and Haida Indian Title. As I cast around to see how to advance the concepts of Potlatch I recognized that the Title of Skidegate was open to me to use in this pursuit and that's why I use that Title.

Skidegate is an eternal Title, while Potlatch is an indigenous process that may be familiar but isn't actually understood. I write to explain Potlatch and to establish the new world order based on Skidegate's Title to the Planet, which Title is founded upon the fresh Religion of Monism. I will offer groundbreaking articles that describe Potlatch and explain Monism, and will dialogue with other articles that help to clarify my Theory. My goal is to teach the Truth by claiming that all truth must be ecological and must form the basis for the bonding of Humankind into a single Village. I say Village to emphasize that Cities are about to become passe' under the new global ecology of Potlatch. Internet technology allows the building of a Global Constituency able to administer the Planet's ecology.
