Educated in England as a process control engineer, I came to California in 1963, worked as a systems analyst for a while and then as a bathroom and kitchen designer. After developing a series of new product designs, I received a commission to build a substantial custom wine cellar in 1982. This first cellar led to more than twenty-five years in the design and production of thousands of custom wine cellars all over the world.
My new product "The Egyptian Series" is a fully engineered rack system made exclusively from a fully certified hardwood. The design has taken a while (several years) because I wanted to produce the entire system without using any nails or glue. Since this is probably my final edition for this particular product, it has been designed to become the benchmark of quality for the industry.
I am writing a little, have a contract for a coffee table book about design in the works, and in my spare time I walk my dog, whether I want to or not.
