About me

Miles Galliford is co-founder of SubHub (www.subhub.com), which provides an all-in-one solution to enable individuals, businesses and publishers to rapidly design, build and run their own money-making content website or online magazine.

Miles has been involved with the delivery of digital information over networks since 1988.

Before founding SubHub, Miles was a director of two Internet start-ups which continue to prosper today, one in the content aggregation business for the insurance and auction sectors (www.invaluable.com) and the other a spin-off from Cambridge University providing intelligent search solutions (www.transversal.com).

Miles came to the entrepreneurial start-up world from BT, where for three years he worked on the Internet mergers, acquisition and joint ventures team with responsibility for identifying and completing deals with US new media companies such as Excite, Inktomi, News International, Commerce One and Netcentives. Prior to joining the Internet team he was account director of several major BT accounts, negotiating contracts with values in excess of $70 million for the provision of global voice and data networks.

Miles' first job after university was with the US company Dow Jones Telerate which delivers real-time financial information to banks, corporate treasuries and trading companies. From there he moved to IPC Information Systems where he was responsible for setting up a new division for the provision of videoconferencing and data-sharing tools. This led to taking a role with BT.

Miles has a degree in Business Studies and an MBA from the European School of Management in Paris.
