I have been an Aromatherapist for over ten years, I received my diploma in Oxford, England after a year of study. I am passionate about safety and essential oils and have for years been an outspoken critic of any use of oils being used undiluted on the skin as well as any person or group that pushes such use. I'm also extremely viscious, ruthless and intolerant of anyone that uses or suggests the use of essential oils on cats. I abhor cruelty of any kind to animals and poisoning cats with oils by ignorant or uncaring people is one of my pet peeves.

Writing is another passion of mine and been writing forever. In fact, I managed to write a novel when I was a sophomore in High School. Conned a friend into typing it out for me. Poor Girl.

At any rate I re-read it in College and was so embarrassed that I chucked it out. Wish I hadn't done that. It was your typical Zane Grey knock off. Girl with black horse rescues, is rescued by and falls in love with the heroic cowboy.

I've written a few more novels and always end up giving them the old heave-ho. Then wishing I hadn't done that. A couple of them actually could have been rescued.

I was raised as an Air Force brat and moved every two and a half years, sometimes overseas (the Philippines and England). I swore that "When I grow up, I'm never moving again!"

Since "growing up", I've moved several times. I lived six years in Stockholm Sweden, another six and a half years in England and now ten years here. Guess what? IN a few months, we're slated to move again,either Spokane Washington or Denver Colorado, depends on who wins, me or the husband. ;-) THAT, I'm determined, will be the LAST move. Sure hope it's not the proverbial "famous last words."

I am an avid reader and tend to go through genres. Right now I'm into paranormal mysteries. Two of my fav authors are Sherrilyn Kenyon and Christine Feehan.

I have four children, ages 15, 13, 11 and 7. I'm still gasping over the fact that I have a child in HIGH SCHOOL. Despite living in a circus, I have managed to attend a college in Oxford and get my diploma in Aromatherapy. I've learned to make candles, beauty products by hand, including soap, solid body lotions, lip gloss, baby bottom cream etc. I've also learned how to make jewelry and now, thanks to Helium, I'm practicing my writing again.
