Tangible memories, weathered by time they are forsaken souvenirs from a transformational period in history. Hidden away in the dark recesses of a vanity drawer or propped on a shelf draped in a pall of dust embellishing their antiquity. They are sentimental evidence of a millisecond in the world's life and a personal narration.
The memories are not my own, but second-hand in nature, gifted by my grandfather. Jewels from another era bestowed upon me, possibly, because I cared to ask and he was ready to tell. A query borne of a teenager's curiosity and desire for unpublished knowledge ...
