I have been teaching for a few years. I am currently taking a break in order to spend time doing other things (such as writing). I would love to find a way to make a regular living writing, although I am sure that is the hope of many writers here. A self-professed geek, I spend way too much time watching sci-fi and horror, as well as reading comic books (although I also spend much of my time reading the classics, as well). I also enjoy reading about philosophy and mathematics as long as it is not too close to bedtime.
My passion is ...
writing, eating, reading, watching movies, the list goes on
I know too much about ...
unimportant minutiae involving the lives of the rich and famous (oh, that's everybody's problem)
My parents always told me ...
I need to eat 3 brussel sprouts before I can leave the table.
My childhood ambition ...
Was to be rich and famous and adored by everyone.
My favorite memory ...
Anything involving my dog.
Why I write ...
Writing is in me, and I've ignored it for way too long
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Whatever is available/Dr. Who/ XTC and Built to Spill
My first job ...
Food server in a retirement home
My best moment ...
If it hasn't happened yet, I can always look forward to that moment.
My inspiration ...
Neil Gaiman(I'm such a geek), Joseph Conrad, Socrates (I know, yawn), Jim Henson, Italo Calvino, Mikhail Bulgakov and Andy Partridge
