I am a sixty two year old single woman living in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. I'm pagan, a writer/poet and a lover of nature. My life has been a challenging journey, filled with much sorrow and struggle. Yet, I still feel I have the heart of a faerie. Even in the depths of my deepest despair, I can laugh, cuddle my kitty and weep with joy at the golden sunrise over the mountains.
I sometimes feel like Wile E. Coyote; I get smashed by a train, get up, find my ears, pull my nose off the cactus, screw it back on, dust myself off - and continue on!
My Life Mission: "To hold light for all beings to have plenty to eat, warm clothes to wear, a warm, safe, loving home and freedom to explore their own inner soul. I dedicate my life, with all its joys and sorrows, to the betterment of all beings."
Here I am at 62 years old - in college! I'm presently nearing the completion of an A.A.S. degree in Human Services Technology at A-B Technical Community College. With a 3.96 GPA, I'm well on my way to completing my AA degree with my final goal of getting my BA in Creative Writing.
I hope to use my degrees to help better the lives of women through the written word. Using creative writing and creativity workshops, I hope to help women find their power and voice in the world.
New Dreams are forming! It's time to state what my soul is hoping for - a chance to visit San Francisco, San Diego or anywhere on the coast of California (maybe even move there - who knows). California is my home - it's where my heart is! And yet, I love the ancient mountains where I live in Asheville. I love the changing seasons - especially the fall. And of course the first snow fall is always breathtaking! I'm torn between two coasts. Maybe a visit to my home state would answer the questions of "where's home?" for me. Just Pondering Possibilities!

A Day in the Life of a Texas Mockingbird O.K.! From now on, I'll be speaking in "first bird!" (Get it? First Bird! Like first person - only bird! It's a joke, Son! Ah say there! Don't you get it, Son? First Bird! Gee - everybody's a critic!) Mockingbird: Howdy! My name is Tex! I'm a Mockingbird. In fact, I'm the state bird of Texas. Why shouldn't us Mockingbirds be the state birds; we're EVERYWHERE in Texas. I live here in Houston just over yonder. That's right!
