Hi, I'm Selenna. I enjoy reading, learning and fixing things. Helium gives me a chance to learn new things through research and share what I learn or already know. There are a great many interesting articles and titles written by people who are just as interesting and diverse. I'm also an observer, my daddy always said "You can't learn anything if you don't close your trap, listen and pay attention." He was right, I have learned more in life from watching and listening than talking.
I have a diverse education and learned almost as much growing up on a farm as I did in college. I learned physics, mechanics and the laws of gravity before I reached age 10: When using a hammer, move your finger it is not a nail. Its a long way to the ground through the floor of the barn loft and the hay chute is not a slide. Never throw a rock on a ground hornets nest, there are about 100 of them down there and they will be very angry. When there is snow on the ground, never ever get the bright idea to use a piece of tin from the barn as a sled near a bluff.
In college, my major was Biology. I studied Botany, Zoology, Genetics and Microbiology. I also studied Wildlife conservation and minored in computer programming for 3 years. Although my interest include but are not limited to Astronomy, Physics, Meteorology (which prompted me to become a certified storm spotter in 2008) and Geology.
I have roofed houses, do plumbing and carpentry work, I also do minor car repairs and rebuild computers, mostly for friends who can't afford high priced workers, and myself who refuses to pay a high price for something I can do myself. I suppose I am a Jack-Of-All-Trades, definitely a master of none but I enjoy the diversity, it makes for an interesting life and is never monotonous.

Beautiful Yellowstone's active geo-thermal features make it like no other place on earth. On March 1, 1872, President Ulysses S. Grant signed into law a bill which made the area of Yellowstone the nations first national park. Scientists believed that the natural wonders of the park, such as its many geysers and hot springs, were remnants of an extinct volcano but a major earthquake in the park in 1959 changed their belief and would prove to awaken the scientific community to the existence of a geological time-bomb. On August 17, 1959, a major earthquake occurred, causing a huge...
