Not long ago I turned forty and this has definitely been a significant milestone for me. Not in a numerical sense but more in terms about being aware of who I am and who I want to be. Yes, those self-help books are certainly an eye opener! I am discovering a whole new world out there for me to explore. I am on a grand new journey and yes, it's all about me!
I have been teaching primary school children for almost two years and prior to that spent four years at university attaining my degree. I have loved every minute of being back in the field of education. It's a window to so many wonderful opportunities.
During this time of growth, I went through a marriage break-up. I am now a single mother of two teenage daughters who challenge me every day.I have created a different life for us now, one in which there should be no limitations to the opportunities life brings.
Early last year I began to creatively write again and realised how much healing and passion had been stirred from spilling my emotions with words.
I have since written may pieces of poetry and some I have entered into competitions with the chance they may attract some attention.
To describe myself in a few words I would have to say I am bold, adventurous and always open to new challenges. I want to be the best role model for my daughters and convey to them that limitations are only a mindset. My motto is "Attitude is everything".
