Hi! My name is Lynn, but I go by the moniker PinkPolkaDotPoodle in several online communities. It is the name of my eBay.com and etsy.com shops, where you can find a variety of crafty, artsy products, in addition to a LOT of books. Hey, I hate to part with them, but an unemployed gals gotta do....
I have an amazing husband, and two beautiful daughters. We live in the DC metropolitan area, and love the fact that fall is coming soon.
For a few years, when my eldest daughter was quite young, I augmented my zero income as a stay at home mom with the pittance paid as a free lance columnist for a local paper. It was so cool to have a photo byline every week, even though it only paid 10cents a word. I learned a lot, including that I couldn't make a solid living at it then. Don't know if I can now, but it's been a dream for as long as I could hold a pencil. It was fortuitous finding Helium a few days ago, and I hope to learn a lot here.
