About me - Mary Firkin

About me

I am a reader, thinker, and doer. Just married in August 2007, my husband and I enjoy traveling, talking, and chats with coffee and tea. I am the proud graduate of Royal Holloway, University of London with an MA in Medieval Studies. My BA is in English with a minor in Journalism.

My interests are everything. I've taken classes in photography, interior design, publication, medieval London architecture, Latin, and Arthurian literature to name a few. I enjoy reading World magazine and love getting my design/furniture catalogs!

My goal is to be a well-rounded person, the female equivalent of the Renaissance man!

I'm also a Christian, and this influences everything in my life. From my world-view to my reading list, to my clothes to my activities. I believe that God saved me when I asked Him to forgive my sins, and that I can never lose my salvation. I believe that He is the Author and Creator of this world, that everything is created by Him and for Him, and that I owe my life and every breath I take to Him. In short, I strive to allow God to direct in every aspect of my life.

However, there are some guidelines which you can follow to help you determine when you need to replace your running shoes. In my Cross Country and track teams, our coach encouraged us to replace our shoes every three months.
