Who in their right mind asks, or allows, a woman to describe herself? I'm either a 6' blonde size 4 beauty, or a 5'3" sassy auburn haired mom of two. I'll let your imagination decide which you'd prefer to believe. I've spent a lifetime (or so it seems) moving around this great country, but in my heart, I'm a Southern gal. I long for the days I can walk the moss draped streets of Savannah, the smell of bursting magnolias wafting through the air, and the faint taste of sea salt skating across my lips...OH FOR GOD'S SAKE! I love the South! I also love golf, although it doesn't love me. And, football, particularly the Huskers. (If you have to ask, you don't deserve to know who they are). And, I love to write. I always have. I am thrilled to have found this site, a bit late, maybe. But, it's never too late for a good thing!
My passion is ...
life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I know too much about ...
open heart surgery.
My parents always told me ...
Work hard, be honest, and pay attention and you can't help but succeed.
My childhood ambition ...
to become an attorney, and eventually be a judge. Or President of the United States. Remember, "they" told us anyone could grow up to be President. I believed them.
My favorite memory ...
When in first grade, my teacher paraded me in front of the sixth grade class because I was the only person that correctly spelled happiness on a spelling test. I knew then that words had POWER!
Why I write ...
I write because I enjoy hearing the words flow like I'm creating a painting.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Anything funny or heart wrenching.
My first job ...
I worked for my parents, digging night crawlers and making cat-fish stink bait. I think in today's world, I could have divorced them for child abuse :)
My best moment ...
1) Becoming a mother for the first time. 2) Becoming a mother for the second time. 3) Realizing that my mother was phenomenal after 1 & 2 happened.
My inspiration ...
Strong women who aren't afraid to be strong, be afraid, be decisive, and be female!

Today's teens lead very busy lives; it seems each generation fits more and more activities into their free time. One constant has been the staple of many teens extra-curricular activities..the part-time job. Deciding when to seek a job, which job to puruse, and how to conduct the search probably requires at least some guidance from a parent or guardian. To begin, discuss the responsibilities of a new job. Map out the other activities in the teen's life (school, sports, music, clubs and hobbies) and decide how much time can be devoted to the job. It is important to understand the commitment...
