My mother and Grandmother were the two most influential people in my life. My mother taught me that it was permissible to say "I'll try" or "I'll do my best", but saying "I can't" was never an option. Grandmother Vincent was an avid reader and instilled in me, the love of the written word.
I wrote my first story when I was seven-years-old, but I had been telling them from the time I could talk. I entertained and sometimes frightened my sister and cousins with my stories.
