I have raised and trained parrots for over 30 years. Today, I provde advice to parrot owners living all over the world through my website, BirdLadySecrets.com and newsletter Parrots-Secrets.com.

I am also a freelance writing with over 1,000 articles to my credit. My titles cover topics include building motorcycles and classic vehicles, travel, health, home decorating, gardening, personal finance, mortgages and loans, mental health, crafts, recipes, camping, and technology. I also teach online courses on many topics, including Building Your Own Freelance Writing Business, Effective Presentations, Business Communications, Managing Stress and Change, Establishing and Achieving Goals, and Supporting a Loved One with a Mental Disorder.

My career, before becoming a freelance writer, included over ten years performing Logistics Analysis for International Space Station at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Previously, I worked with Space Shuttle flight hardware testing and worked as a contract employee in many interesting positions in aerospace. I have also managed offices for management consultants and appliance sales.

Today, I reside in Columbus, Mississippi, with my elderly mother. As an only child, I assist her in doing things her declining health does not permit her to take care of any longer.

My hobbies include reading, taking care of our parrots, crafts, and social activities involving my church family.
