Though little remembered today and currently unavailable on DVD, the Emmy winning series M*A*S*H did have a spinoff. In it's tenth season, Harry Morgan, Jamie Farr, and William Christopher were the only cast members in favor of continuing the series. A compromise was reached for a shortened eleventh season with a feature-length final episode. When the final episode aired to great fanfare and a media blitz in February 1983, talk of a spin-off began circulating.
