We recently came back from The Dominican Republic in August.. We left on the sat when hurricane Dean was coming thru.. We always travel to the Caribbean or Mexico in August or Sept.. In Mexico, its very hot and humid.. However, our 1st time to the Dominican was wonderful.. The average temp was about 100, but no humidity and always a nice breeze.. Its about 50% cheaper to travel in the summer, try it.. We stayed at the Sunscape Del Mar and was an excellent hotel.. So much to do right on the resort, as they say when you go to the Dom Rep, you should not leave the resort, just like Jamacia, bu...
