I did not go to preschool it was not common practice when I was growing up. When I did go to kindergarten I was not prepared to be in a group of kids for half a day for five days a week. I had never been taught my alphabets, nor did I know how to hold a pencil. I had such a horrible time in kindergarten I was not use to being with all those other kids and n what was expected of me. I believe if I had had at least one or two years of preschool I would have known what was expected of me. I continued to struggle most of the time in school until I graduated out of high school.
