I am an offerings manager working on social networking systems at a large technology firm. I was born in Sri Lanka and now reside in the United States. I have a beautiful five year old daughter who is the love of my life.
My creative expression was in the form of music, particularly percussion. I have been playing tablas and other percussion instruments since I was five.
It is only in the last few years that I have begun to explore creative writing as an outlet. I am just starting to call myself a freelance writer. When I realized that I wrote 5000 - 8000 words a day just in emails alone at work, I figured that I had a lot of practice and that it was time to apply it to things I was passionate about.
My primary interest is short stories and fiction. I became a member of Helium to find other writers and connect with those that have similar interests and experiences.
I came here to network with other writers, so please use the 'contact writer' link and drop me a note.

When deciding on your on-line presence the most important consideration is what you wish to communicate and what you wish to achieve. If you have some kind of work that you wish to promote, then it is important to organize information about yourself, your qualifications, the work itself and reasons why people might be interested in it. Your website is your on-line catalog. The most important reasons why a website is ...
