I try not to judge others because I am not walking in their shoes. I try to be a positive addition to my friend's and family's lives. Comes from everywhere. I just try to pay attention.
We can all be both energy drainers and energy givers. If we are self aware enough, we know when we are giving and when we are draining and thereby have more control over how much of each we do. Not everyone is self aware however, and it is up to each of us individually to determine how much of ourselves we are willing to give someone in a draining mode. Also, some things are draining to some people and not to others, so it really is an individual thing. Most often all you need is a few simple boundaries.
