About me - Susan Clark

About me

Briefly me

My passion is ...

My property. I recently moved back to my childhood home, a family property consisting of 30 acres in the most beautiful and sought after area of California. I will sacrifice anything to stay here.

I know too much about ...

Human nature.

My parents always told me ...

To live by the Golden Rule, and to watch out for "hot blooded Latin men."

My childhood ambition ...

Was to be a nurse......that all ended after I became a "Candy Striper" in high school. Yuck.

My favorite memory ...

Playing in the woods with my cousins, climing trees, building forts, collecting rocks, wading in the creek, all on the property I live on today.

Why I write ...

I love to read, and I love making my thoughts come together into a concise package.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I am reading a collection of short stories which won the O.Henry Awards, I'm embarassed to admit I love reality shows, and I have been listening to Eric Lyndell, and Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks.

My first job ...

Was in a factory that made styrofoam boxes. What a mess!

My best moment ...

Was when I gave birth to my daughter, in the presence of all people....my father. When he was a young man, our society did not afford fathers that opportunity, and I was proud and happy to do so. It changed his life.

My inspiration ...

My inspiration would have to be my Mother, from whom all that is good and right in my life, originates.

But before that, I was a trend setter. I always asked permission to smoke, ev...
