I have been writing poetry and essays for several decades. I am sixty years old and served in Vietnam in 1967 through 1968. When I returned I had many things burning in my mind and soul and took to keeping a journal to sort out my thoughts and feelings.
Writing quickly became one of my favorite things to do and poetry and song writing were my first interests outside of journaling. Stone is actually a performance name. I do word performances with my poetry mixed with music and have a CD out I titled "Plain White Wrapper." which actually sold well when I was busy marketing it, but I soon got bored (worn out) marketing. It is a lot of work.
Recently, I have been given the opportunity to move into writing for a living. I don't need much income and make enough as a Personal Fitness Trainer to not have to work so much, focusing more on writing as a freelancer.
This is all coming off the top of my head, but I knew if I didn't do something now I probably wouldn't do it at all. Left on my own I can be pretty lazy, only doing the things I have to do.
I am also interested in world events and what is going on with our American society today. I have two articles out and I am waiting on a response. One on Ethanol and one on the Housing Market.
I love animals, (especially my two dogs)and the short tailed squirrel named Stubs that sits on the air conditioner and peeks in my front window asking where's my apple?
I like to look for the good in life, but acknowledge, as Buddhism does, that there is suffering in life and we must learn to accept that and overcome it.

Core Muscles Exercise is the best medicine, and in some cases the only medicine that will work for some discomforts. For example, there is no pill for weak core muscles. Weak core muscles contribute to instability, lower back pain and poor posture. The core muscles are the area around the trunk and pelvis including the lower back, hip and abdominal muscles. When these muscles grow weak or imbalanced problems surface that some of us like to rationalize by saying, "Oh well, I guess I'm getting old." As a trainer, my response is always the same.
