I am a mother of three, currently working at home caring for my youngest who was born at only 24 weeks gestation (700gms), and doesn't stay well consistently enough for me to sustain a job at this stage. I live in beautiful Aotearoa also known as New Zealand in the South Pacific Ocean 'across the ditch' as we say from Australia. Having snippits of time up my sleeve when the little one takes naps, I am for the first time in my life able to indulge my urge to write, and Helium is the ground upon which I'm taking those first baby steps...who knows, this could be the start of a whole new career path?!
My passion is ...
Raising peoples awareness about how we are mistreating and polluting ourselves along with the planet and the interconnectivity of these two facts
I know too much about ...
Nothing....there is always more to know..no such thing as too much, the funny thing is the more we know, the more we realise how much we DON'T know...its good to stay humble
My parents always told me ...
You'd lose your head if it wasn't screwed on
My childhood ambition ...
I wanted to be an adventurer, or Daktari in Africa saving the animals, and one day write a book.
My favorite memory ...
Jumping into my parents bed in the mornings and my Dad reading to me.
Why I write ...
I want to make a difference in the world..corny but true. If I didn't let it out I'd burst or grow a tumour or something!
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I'm reading lots about food as medicine...hippocrates would be proud
My first job ...
Working in my Dad's garden centre
My best moment ...
Giving birth to my daugher in less than 3 hours, no pain relief, at home in a pool ...I felt like Superwoman!
My inspiration ...
Too many random souls to name for just as many diverse reasons. I have to say Al Gore has been a champ lately, and bravo fellow Scorpio Leonardo Di Caprio for your latest documentary
