Your message, my words - that's the way I work. Most people have a story to tell but hesitate due to lack of comfort with vocabulary, punctuation, grammar, and other mechanics of language. My expertise lies in those mechanical elements of the story. Working together, we can get your message conveyed in selling, compelling ways that are sure to drive new readers to your website.
I'm a highly versatile writer with more than 30 years experience. My experience covers business and corporate writing at the executive level, including correspondence, presentations, newsletters, and policy manuals. In the environmental sciences, I've worked as typesetter, desktop publisher, layout and design coordinator, proofreader, and editor. In computer research and development, my work involved executive level correspondence at the first high-tech research consortia / think tank in the US plus technical manuals, presentations, and proprietary documents of the very highest level of secrecy and confidentiality.
My culinary career involves writing winning catering proposals, compelling menus, recipe development, and business plans. My lifelong interest in nutrition is evident in all the culinary work I do. My culinary copywriting covers internet advertising, point-of-sale marketing, newsletters, brochures, and flyers. I am currently working on a series of cookbooks, with a new release expected each month. My first cookbook is a compilation of recipes from six generations of my Central Texas family.
I'm a quick study with an exhaustive curiosity. I have favorite topics but am willing to tackle anything that interests me. I welcome long-term business associations but enjoy working on individual projects, too.
I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to work a a major contributor to a blog devoted to wine and coffee. I've ghostwritten a cookbook featuring game meats and another book about coping with a psychological disorder that triggers disfiguring behaviors. I edited a truly delightful book about all things champagne. My years in corporate America sent many resumes across my desk and I use what I learned to develop professional resumes for job applicants in a wide array of fields. I’ve also polished up many a thesis for graduate students, even those deeply engaged in the sciences. Many of my clients are repeat clients and they're located in the US and Canada, Great Britain, Denmark, Israel, Africa, and Australia.

Once upon a time, the dilemma of how to open the stuck lid of a canning jar - or any jar, for that matter - posed quite a challenge of strength. And sometimes the challenge seemed to require the use of dexterity, cunning, and wit, too. Thankfully, those days are over. Now I know how to open a stuck canning jar - and every other jar - regardless of size, shape, or origin. It couldn't be simpler. Dexterity is no longer required because gravity is on my side. Cunning is no longer required because gravity is on my side. Even wit is no longer required because gravity is still on my side. As lon...
