Hi,
My name is Charlie Gaffney. Most call me Chuck for some reason since high school so I go with it. Anyways, I'm the owner of a semi-popular anime fan site and store called Chuck's Anime Shrine. I live out in Selden, New York for now. I'm the oldest of 8 kids and my dream is to be a major part of the video game and anime world. As an anime and video game store owner (plus a gamer since I was actually 1 year old), my projects include full production of my own independent anime, manga, video games and the like. I'm even going to see if I can bust into the anime voice actor stage since I'm from the same "Select Chorus" class that former American Idol semi-finalist Jared Cotter is from. I can change my voice around well or at least that's what I'm told, so who knows?

Japanese animation and culture always puts things at a higher level than the rest of the world. This perfectionist motive is what drives me.
In order for me to talk about my life as an anime fan I must first mention where I came from. I started very very young as a video game fan. At the age of 1 you could have caught me playing Pac Man Jr. on my dad's Atari 2600. From then on I was a fan of video games and indirectly a fan of Japanese culture. I would watch the old pre-Nick-Toon cartoons of the 80's and I was in my little childhood heaven. Fast forward to late 1996; I'm a young 7th grader, still a big video game fan and now just getting into the internet age. My life consisted of mainly Nintendo driven games and yes that year ...
