Hello everyone, and welcome to my Helium page.

Since childhood I have had two passions - one is writing and the other is music. In todays busy world, I still try to squeeze these into my routine, and Helium keeps me motivated to continue writing.

At the moment I work full-time with people. Outside of work I am lucky to share my life with my partner of ten years who is my soul-mate. My family are very important to me, as I have the best sister and best brother I could ever have hoped for and they have blessed me with being an auntie to their beautiful children. I am so proud of my niece and nephews and each of them has a very special place in my heart.

My pets complete my life, as I love them all dearly. I have two guinea pigs, a hamster and a cat. The house wouldn't be a home without them.

I care deeply about animal-welfare and environmental issues, and support these causes where I can. I also care about social issues such as poverty, homelessness, health, and employment.

I love any excuse to get creative - I love drawing and am trying to teach myself cartooning. I love making things generally, so I do cross-stitch and make cards, I make friendship bracelets, I love using clay (or anything similar - play dough or even blue-tac will do). I've dabbled with making homemade cosmetics and aromatherapy. I hate cooking though!

I've recently started to learn Italian, and think it's a very beautiful language. I plan to visit Italy someday.

My Cuckoo Clock Hat.

I think children are the best at being creative. It's almost a shame that as we grow older we seem to get less opportunities to be artistic. The longer our legs get, the faster we pack away our craft kits, models, sketch pads, pencils, pens, paints, plasticine, play-dough, and fuzzy-felt. Some of my happiest moments have been brought about by creating things.
