: About Me

His name is Hamlet Pericles, 29. His inception into this unkind world was on December 30, 1982. He was born and raised in Miami, Florida where he currently resides. Secluded, quiet, no-nonsense, and helpful are a few adjectives that describe him.

He joined Helium September 2007 and has been a permanent fixture, sharing his true thoughts in every piece. He writes and covers many issues (e.g., politics, philosophy, racialism, album/book reviews, poetry analyses, entertainment, controversial matters and so forth). In essence, Hamlet's wide-ranging knowledge allows him to cover a bulk of issues.

His body of written work is to the point and very frank. In more solid language, he speaks his mind every time without any hesitation whatsoever. He tells it how it is respectfully and does not hold anything back; he speaks/writes the HONEST truth. At times, the bluntness of his writings may cause a reader to shake his or her head in disagreement, but it does not affect or reduce the frankness that he will continue to render.

He truly believes and has a simple motto: If one writes with timidity and afraid to express true feelings (because of what others may say or think), then he or she need not write at all. Therefore, he writes freely, without any borders. He conveys his views clearly, without any confusion.

He has three college degrees: AS in Music Business at Miami Dade College-Wolfson (2005); AA in English Literature at Miami Dade College-Wolfson (2005); and a Bachelor of Arts in English at Florida International University (May 2007).

In conclusion, Hamlet loves to write fiction, poetry, essays, songs, etc. but writing fiction overshadows them all. He is a tailor and fabricates his own clothing (yes, he sews), and hopes to start his own clothing line sometime in the future.  Currently, he has an online shop via ETSY: http://www.hamletpericles.etsy.com. 

Most important, his main goal is to become a published novelist and accomplish his many goals.

I write because I love it.

Currently reading anything; currently watching anything; currently listening to BONE THUGS-N-Harmony. If I'm not listening to BONE, I go to my other favorites: 2Pac, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Deon, Kenny G, Vanessa Williams, other real artists - and not that current hip-hop TRASH some call music.
