My object: to make people forget they are reading
fiction.
I sometimes say that I have been writing all my life, and I
have, although not writing seriously. I just didn't believe
in myself enough. I had to 'evolve' as a writer.
But I do love to tell a story. I have a lot of fun locked up
in a quiet room, listening to classical music while I share
my imagination. Maybe that makes me weird or
something...I don't know. I only know that when I am
gone, there will be pieces of me, of my life, of the things I
have experienced written on pages so others can catch
a glimpse of the person that I was. Because even though
I write fiction, I am "my" writing. My thoughts logged down
for the world to see. Me...Naomi Jeanette (Viles) Hyatt,
from a small Oklahoma town, born the day after

praying that I don't crash and burn when I reach the top
and fall down the other side.

My passion is ...
my grandson...he is the light in my life...the sparkle in my day!
I know too much about ...
about editing. If it is a dangling participle, a split infinitive, a verb disagreement, or non-word used such as "backwards, anyways, forwards"-it drives me nuts!
My parents always told me ...
to live a righteous life.
My childhood ambition ...
to be a writer. I have wanted to do this always.
My favorite memory ...
My grandmother rocking me to sleep.
Why I write ...
to fix myself.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I read Stephen King, listen to Lynard Skynard, and watch Lost, Grey's Anatomy, and Dr. Phil.
My first job ...
was working as a waitress at a pizza palour.
My best moment ...
having my kids love me.
My inspiration ...
Stephen King. He is my personal muse. He sets my imagination on a Mach 100 thrill ride.

She sits on her white satin sofa wearing white silk pajamas. Her hair is elegantly pulled back with wisps escaping to perfectly frame her perfectly and tastefully made-up face. You can hear a charming giggle as she lays a perfectly manicured hand against her chest.
"Not long," she says. "It only took me two months to get it to my agent. He is such a cad sometimes, because he is so impatient for my work. But you can't rush creativity."
