I am sorry for not being drawn into the argument here for the many opinions expressed in this legal issue. The fact that this case involves animals and African Americans and a wealthy sports Quarterback, really has no bearing on the question. There is only the law and the ramifications of breaking the law. Michael Vick plead guilty to a lesser charge. This led to 23 months in jail. If we can quit opinionating about this long enough we should recognize that the maximum sentence is what should be issued, because he admitted guilt to the charge.
