Violence is a part of life. Cinema exists to reflect and comment upon life. The question is not, 'Is there too much violence in movies?' or 'Should there be violent films?' It makes sense that there would be violence in the cinema. Violence, like sexuality, is a part of life, and so will be depicted in films. The question is, 'Has movie violence become a form of pornography?'
