Hi. I am a retired Office Supervisor with 26 years of experience in the insurance field. In the back of my head I've always had this fantasy to write-not the great Canadian novel, but short stories, articles. My husband is a retired university English prof and is very encouraging but as the old saying goes, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink."
Since finding Helium, my interest is in full blown mode again. Although I've only written 2 articles so far, they have given me the needed push to continue.
My other passion is knitting. I find knitting to be very therapeutic and since I have MS, I have quite a few down days. Knitting helps me through them.
I love animals and our home is graced with 2 cats (both housecats) and a Coton de Tulear. My mom always said she was suspicious of people who didn't like animals and I agree totally with her.
I live in Nova Scotia and we are just experiencing our first snowfall of 2007 (Nov. 11). We love the province and have no desire to live anywhere else.
Hope this gives you a bit of an insight into my world.

In some religions, people believe that the cremated deceased becomes one with nature much more quickly. Perhaps you've chosen cremation because you are concerned about the environment.
