I am a 56 year old homemaker married to a retired Navy Captain. We have three children, Hal, 26, Chris, 23 and Lexi, 20. Chris and Lexi are still in college and Hal is in the Navy. I enjoy my life here in Ocean Springs, Ms. I have a part-time job at Curves and enjoy lunching and shopping with my friends. I am sure I will get great enjoyment writing with Helium.

Fat Boy came into our lives three years ago during a terrible storm. What a classic case of animal rescue! My husband and I were on a weekend trip when we got a call from our teenage son, Chris, who told us he heard something that sounded like a kitten mewing outside. He was concerned since a storm was raging. I groaned at this because we already had a cat and a dog and I didn't want any more pets. But I told Chris to go ahead and investigate.
