About me - Tricia Schneider

About me

I am married to a wonderful man and I am the mother of two beautiful boys. I've been writing stories on and off for as long as I've been able to pick up a pencil. I inherited my love for reading and writing from my mother. She taught me how to glue a book to my nose and still have a coherent conversation with someone in the same room. I completed my first novel when I was 15. It took me 7 days of my summer vacation to finish. I barely ate nor slept. The story was based on a dream I had; a fantasy that still remains one of my favorites. My senior year in high school I took a creative writing class where my teacher praised my work to the other students and that's where I learned that I could actually make a career out of my hobby. After finishing high school, I got hired at a local Waldenbooks where I went from Seasonal Clerk, to Part time Bookseller, to Full time Assistant Manager. I've been working there for 10 years now. I continued to write and submit my 5 finished novels to publishers and contests. Since I became a mother nearly two years ago, I've renewed my determination to become a successful published author. I want my sons to be proud of their Mama and I want to see my dreams finally fulfilled.

Despite the truth of some of those images, I would highly recommend taking that fateful trip to the mall. Timing, however, is the key to success. The common practice of most stores is to open several hours earlier than normal opening time in an effort to promote those Early Bird' specials. These are the deals worth setting th...
