Marissa started writing at the age of 8, when as a gift she composed a journal of short stories and poems for her mother. Since that time, she has focused mainly on creative writing and poetry, plucking away at an autobiographical novel with the working title, "I-Forms in Freeways."
Her current course of study is in education, with the goal of becoming a high school English teacher. She has two children, two cats and a dog (pictured).
My passion is ...
my children, writing and the outdoors. And Frankie (pictured)!
I know too much about ...
life, depression and the depravity of human existance.
My parents always told me ...
that I could do anything I wanted to do. I believe them.
My childhood ambition ...
was to be was to be a writer, teacher, interior or fashion designer, or (ahem) model.
My favorite memory ...
is one of many in the minutes of motherhood and love.
Why I write ...
Because I have to, whether for papers, to express myself, or to share an amazing life full of unbelievable experiences.
My first job ...
was in an office. It was boring.
My best moment ...
won't be determined until my life is over.
My inspiration ...
is my life, details and the lives of those around me.
