About me - Ashley Anthony

About me

I am somebody's daughter, somebody's sister, somebody's friend, somebody's guardian, somebody's bride. I work at a local tutoring center. I help keep the place running and teach a writing class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm currently working toward a BA of English Language and Literature. I clean, I cook, I read, I write I laugh and play and once a week, I rest.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

The examined life.

I know too much about ...

Domestic cats!

My parents always told me ...

My grandmother always told me "accidents happen" whenever I made a mistake. One good piece of advise my mother gave me was "take things one at a time".

My childhood ambition ...

Was to be a writer and teacher.

My favorite memory ...

Anything involving my grandmother, oh, and my father's laughter and sense of fun.

Why I write ...

To remember.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

In the past few months I have finished Children of Hurin by J.R.R. Tolkien, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, The Once and Future King by T.S. White, and reread Macbeth by Shakespeare. I am currently reading The Book of Merlyn by T.H. White. I can't wait for the season premiere of Lost (January 31st!). I listen to a lot of different artists at different times...currently I'm on an Enya/Led Zeppelin/Tori Amos kick.

My first job ...

Weekend receptionist at a realtors office.

My best moment ...

When my true love asked me to marry him.

My inspiration ...

My grandmother.
