: About Me

I am a wife and mother of 2 beautiful young women, one of which made me a grandmother at a very early age. I have a book inside me that is screaming to get out. I have always loved making up stories for my daughters as they were growing up and their teachers were always begging me to publish them, well I never thought they were good enough or didn't have the time to devote to writing. I now have the time and Helium has made it so easy for me to express myself in ways I never thought I could. I am now trying to create the same for my precious grandson. Well I should say grandsons now, as my daughter is involved with a young man who has a son and we treat him with as much love and devotion. I have a badly infected leg that has caused me to loose my job and now want to work from home, so anyone out there that needs work done from a home base location, just let me know.

I know too much about ...

I know a little about everything, one cannot know too much about one thing. I love to learn and am still learning after all these years. Now in my life, I have a lot of customer experience, I have worked for a travel map company and know a lot about Canadian recreation, from bike trails to snowboarding. I have worked with human resources and billing department for a major computer organization. So you can say I know a lot about many things.

My childhood ambition ...

I did not really think about what I wanted to do when I was a child. I knew that I wanted to be married and have children. I loved english and writing stories at school but it was not an ambition at that time.

Why I write ...

I love to write to make people smile, think or share my life story with people, not to shock them, just to share.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I love romance and mystery novels. I watch a variety of programing from CSI series and action adventure movies. Music is new country and soft rock

My first job ...

I worked for a major telephone company as a supervisor for 16 years. I took a buy out in 1995.

My best moment ...

My very best moment had to have been when the doctor confirmed that I was pregnant with my first child. My husband and I had only been trying a little over a year, but it was such an beautiful feeling to know I was having a baby.

My inspiration ...

Right now, my insiration is my children and my grandson. I want so much for them and they always believe in me.

Love for our Parents When I gave birth to my first daughter, I can remember being so scared and nervous about raising this little person. I can also remember feeling a little upset with having my freedom taken away. I was hospitalized three weeks before she was born with complications and stuck in a private room with no one to talk too for most of the day. I was not allowed to walk around, talk to anyone. I felt like I was being punished for being pregnant and sick. When I brought her home, the same thing again, I was home with a little person who needed changing, feeding, rocking to sleep...
