'Biodun Awosusi is a highly motivated medical doctor, freelance writer, blogger and social activist. He is registered with Freelance Writing International, listed on Freelance Database and currently writes for Suite101, Triond, Writesight.com, Faithwriters.com, Helium.com and Triond.com. He has over 100 published works in newspapers, magazines, Journals and the Internet.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery [Distinction in Physiology/Pharmacology] and just completed an Open Course Ware in selected topics of the 'Infectious Diseases' section, of the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore USA. He is also certified by the American Heart Association as a health care provider for Basic Life Support. He constantly updates his knowledge since graduation from Obafemi Awolowo University. He currently holds a Platinum Certification of Completion from British Medical Journal Learning and Online certification in Basics of Health Planning from American University of Armenia.This defines his specialty in medical issues, nutrition, pharmacology, physiology, and biodiversity.

He was an Academy Manager at the Tolerance Academy organised by the Champions of the Society, sponsored by the United Nations Alliance for Civilizations; the project trained young people to be agents of peace and national tolerance in order to create a sustainable world. A CNN iRreporter, Biodun continues to use the media to draw attention to the urgent need to save Africa from the deadly trio of hunger, poverty and diseases.

He just completed his internship at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile Ife where he served as Assistant general secretary of the Association of Resident Doctors. He is an Online Masters Student at the University of Liverpool where he is studying International Management of Health systems, and also leads the 'Freelance Writers Crew' which is a company of excellent freelance writers that provide research assistance services at www.freelancenig.com.
