I am currently listening to Kanye, Arctic Monkeys, and any music that perfectly captures the mood. I also have the tendency to inquire about any films that are either pop-cultural worthy (Knocked Up, Superbad, etc.) or anything that's supposed to be stylistically inventive, in general.
Although Kasi Lemmons' "Talk To Me" has its moments of sadness and drama like most biopics do, it also has its moments of laugh-out-loud comedy. For example, its narrative of Ralph Waldo "Petey" Greene is a comic character who through his luck and frankness finds his rise of fame after WOK radio gives him more than one chance and the gamble pays off, but he never will change his ways or be as big of a star as say back in his day, Sidney Poitier.
