About me - Chuck Moyer

About me

Middle age isn't slowing me down, if anything the downhill slope is giving me a chance to accelerate. Like the line from the Rush song says: "Young enough to remember the future, but old enough not to care what (they) think of me"

Twenty years in business working in Supply Chain/Operations, IT, Project Management, Release Management, Enterprise Architecture and Executive Management has enabled me to become a Strategist, Systems Thinker, Change Agent, Leader, Team Builder and Futurist.

My passion for Baseball, Music, Naval History, Pirates, Technology, Optimization, Efficiency, Reading and Knowledge have lead me on a path of continuous education and improvement with no purpose in stopping now.

And now I synthesize this history to a new direction in pursuit not of accumulation but of contribution. To be a Historian as well as a Futurist. And Writing is this vehicle for me. And it is up to me to enjoy this journey and where it leads.

Whole books have been written about hitting and have still not covered all the nuances and conditions need to consistently perform at the plate. And then when you add in the possible flaws, that's a whole other book. And don't even risk starting a debate between opposing philosophies of hitting, those never end.

So how can you provide effective instruction, particularly to younger ball players, in the brief period in wh...
