: About Me

I am a free-lance writer of all genres. I write poetry, song lyrics, short stories, movie scripts, and novels. I have had many of my poetic works published. I also have had a few short stories published. As you browse through my writings please feel free to express your opinions on the various writings that are displayed. My mother has always been my inspiration to writing and was my best friend and was also my most formidable critic. She herself had a love and dedication to the craft of writing. She is sorely missed.

I am currently working on a series of children's books. I am looking for a publisher for a chapbook of Indian poetry I have written in dedication to my Native American Roots on my Mother's side. My Great-Grandmother was a Cherokee Indian Princess who walked the Trail of Tears.

I have my own writing group currently in which we do round-robin writing. I am also always looking for musicians to put music to my song lyrics. If interested get in touch with me.

I am a grandmother. Since getting re-married recently in August 2007, between the two of us we currently have twelve grand-children. We just had two new ones born to us both on Feb. 20, 2008 in Idaho six hours and about 120 miles apart; the first a grandson weighing in at 9 lbs 13 oz 21 3/4" long, the second a grand-daughter weighing 7 lbs 19 3/4" long. Both fathers are step-brothers whom my husband raised.

My new husband has MS and it is a battle we both face together. He had been on shot therapy but it was ineffective and he lost over sixteen pounds. He is a thin man and can't afford to loose weight anyways. Recently, he began an IV therapy treatment in which we are in hopes will work. Only time will tell. The therapy will not cure the MS only keep it from becoming more severe and hopefully out of a wheelchair.

I was working at the local hospital here in Idaho until Jan. 31,2008. At that time my disability, of Menieres, had been flaring up so badly, for several months that it got to where it interfered more with me performing my job. Therefore, I had to resign when I had to re-begin taking heavy medication to control it because it was then unsafe to work for the patients I dealt with and for myself. My main career has been in the Medical Field off and on for over twenty five years. I am currently back on disability until my Menieres goes back into remission or a possibly a newer medication is found to control it.

because I enjoy it, it helps through emotional times, it relaxes me.
