A writer by passion, I have been privately journaling since I was a young woman. For the last year or two, I have been sharing my writing with others - through an unpublished manuscript, an active blog on MySpace, and professionally through a nationally recognized non-profit.
I am here to expand my horizons as a writer, with the intention of publishing professionally both on line and in print.
My range of topic and subject matter is broad and very diverse. From financial expertise to wisdom gained through over twenty years on a spiritual and emotional healing journey, I can and do write on most anything.
What I have learned so far is that for some reason, folks love to read what I write. Is it style (authentic, deeply personal and intelligent)? Is it skill? Talent? Or just the gift of speaking my Truth and sharing my knowledge and insights in a way that engages the reader and wants them to know more. Whatever the reason, I have been gifted and want to share what I have learned through my wild, "outside the box" lifestyle with the world in the hopes that I might stimulate another's personal growth.
More to come...........
My passion is ...
Seeking my Truth & having the courage to live it
I know too much about ...
my own thoughts - my ruminative devil mind
My parents always told me ...
"Do onto others..."(mom) and "There's no accounting for people" (dad)
My childhood ambition ...
A stage dancer a la Flashdance, etc,
My favorite memory ...
Over 100 Grateful Dead shows with family and friends
Why I write ...
To learn, to share, to grow, to connect - because I can't NOT write
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
reading Alan Cohen, watching old Columbo episodes, listening to Ben Harper
My first job ...
ouch - scooping ice cream with a very weak arm :-)
My best moment ...
any moment in which I feel deep inner peace
My inspiration ...
live each moment fully and create a livlihood based upon my passions
Upon countless hours of quiet reflection, I have come to believe that we are here, as humans, on this planet, for three purposes alone: To Love To Learn To Serve This has been, for years, MY personal "holy trinity." With loving, learning and serving as my primary purpose this lifetime, I have found a rich and rewarding meaning for my life. If I frame each experience within this simple set of life principles, I find that whatever life hands me each day, I am able to see it through the eyes of compassion, self-love, and a sense of purpose far beyond what my little self-absorbed mind can see....
